- A Formulation Useful For The Treatment Comatose And Cerebral Malaria : The invention provides a formulation useful for the treatment of comatose and cerebral malaria caused by multi - drug resistant wide spectrum malarial parasites , suitable for administration by rectal route, and a process for its preparation , said formulation comprising a and ß arteether and neutralized refined vegetable oil wherein the ratio of α/ß arteether and vegetable oil in the formulation is in the range of 0.002 - 0.020:1 w/w, and ratio of α and ß tautomers is in the range of 10:90 to 30 : 70.
